WJH CONCERT BAND
April Update
In Case You Missed It
Last month, the Concert Band performed at District Festival in Zachary, and received a sweepstakes trophy. In order to receive this trophy, the band has to receive the highest possible score from each of the four judges. The Concert Band performed and behaved extremely well on this trip. This is the first year that the Westside Concert Band has ever gone to this festival, and they received the highest possible score! We are extremely proud of our Concert Band!
Rhythm Chart Testing
As you know, we have two rhythm chart tests each 9 weeks. Grades are being posted today for our 1st rhythm chart test. We have one more on April 18th. As always, students may retake these tests as often as they'd like. However, Every student needs to pass 2 charts before May 13th! After this date, grades will be final.

Summer Band Camps
We highly recommend signing your child up for our summer band camp. This will be a fun and very educational experience for each student. Click here for the flyer.
We also have a theory camp. This is something extra for students who want to study how music is written, and how different instruments read different notes. Click here for the flyer.
