Franklin D.Roosevelt gave people hope and courage during hard times.Many people think that he was the the greatest president in the U.S.Roosevelt was very diligent even though he had a disability.Franklin D. Roosevelt was an amazing leader!
Early Life
Roosevelt did amazing things in his early life. -He was born in Hyde Park, New York in 1882. Roosevelt went to a boarding school. He ran his high school summer camp for boys who couldn't pay for vacation or camp. Roosevelt was such a hard worker.
Hard Times
Franklin D. Roosevelt was really sick and got a disease called polio in 1921. Roosevelt needed a cane, crutches, and rails to help him walk. He couldn't walk after the age of 39. Roosevelt was never able to walk by himself again. F.D.R never gave up him dreams even though he had polio.
Contributions
Roosevelt helped many people in his lifetime. In 1932 he ran for President. Roosevelt was the 32nd president and served for four terms from 1933 and 1945. The New Deal gave people jobs like building buildings, roads, and airports. The New Deal program helped millions of people get jobs. Franklin D. Roosevelt was a strong leader.
