The Human Seasons
The Human Seasons
Spring
Spring is when the flowers and birds are born , this is compared when the man born.
..."He has his lusty Spring, when fancy clear
Takes in all beauty with an easy span:.." ..."His soul has in its Autumn, when his wings
He furleth close; contented so to look" ."He has his Winter too of pale misfortune, Or else
he would forgo his mortal nature."
The Human Seasons
The human life
Four seasons fill the measure of the year;
There are four seasons in the mind of the man:
There are four seasons in the mind of the man:
The seasons
To ruminate, and by such dreaming nigh
His nearest unto heaven: quiet coves
His nearest unto heaven: quiet coves
The seasons and the human life
Pass by unheeded as a threshold brook
He has his Winter too of pale misfortune,
Or else he would forgo his mortal nature.
He has his Winter too of pale misfortune,
Or else he would forgo his mortal nature.
