BTES Student Information
March 21
Good morning BTES Bulldogs! Mr. Waldron and I just wanted to check in with all of you. We miss seeing all of you at school and hope everyone is doing well. I know many of you have explored your virtual classrooms with your teachers and for the ones who haven't, that should begin this week. If you have any questions after reading this newsletter please email Mr. Prima (dprima@btboe.org) or Mr. Waldron (kwaldron@btboe.org).
How this is going to work.
- Eventually all virtual class meetings will take place daily and at a specific time.
- Students will be expected to attend class and actively participate appropriately.
- Information for parents and students can be found on the teacher page in the parent portal.
- Assignments will be listed in each teachers Google Classroom.
- As always, we expect your best effort with all the assignments that are submitted.
- With specials (i.e.art, gym, media, music, world language, computers) students are expected to select one activity daily from the 'Specials Chart'. This will be shared on your 'Teachers Homepage'.
Virtual Classroom Rules - Teachers rules might be a little different
- Be on time for meetings.
- Turn OFF the microphone when you are NOT talking.
- Once the teacher begins talking, all microphones should be muted.
- Stick to the topic/subject your teacher is discussing. No side conversations.
- Find a place in your house that is distraction free.
- Your focus should be on the teacher only during your virtual classroom.
- If you have technical problems during Google Meets, text a friend so they can let the teacher know. Please try to get back in if you are kicked out.
If I have questions, what should I do?
Anytime any of you have questions it is important that you have a way to get answers. The easiest and fastest way to get your questions answered is to email your teachers. Just a reminder that teachers will be checking their email daily from 8:00 to 2:00. If you send something after this time you might not get the answer until the following day. You can also email Mr. Waldron or myself and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.
Things you should know.
- Mrs. Kakos has started a Google Classroom for all students to visit - vlnrfcx is the login code. If you are interested, please join.
- Continue to send Mr. Waldron or Mr. Prima pictures this week (with parents approval) of any outside activites that I may post on my week in review.
