What's Ms. Adair up to
Students are fired up for STAAR/EOC!
Ms. Adair's class is making it a game!! Competitive game formats are a great way to help students review their understanding of concepts, formulas, math vocabulary, and more!
She is using games to help students with the 3 most covered categories on the Algebra I STAAR/EOC assessment.

A Message from our ITS
Dear Parents,
To end the school year we are going to cover Digital Citizenship, specifically social media pros and cons and appropriate use. Freshmen students will be going through an hour long activity in their English classes on May 2-3, and sophomores after STAAR the following week.
There are quite a few students missing chargers. Please see the fee schedule for information.
Thank you,
Natosha Daniels, M.Ed.
ECHS CLUBS
ECHS TAKES 2ND AT FIT GAMES!
ECHS took 34 students to participate in the RRISD Fit Games. It was a great opportunity for our students to compete against other high school students in the district. They competed as teams of four in four different events. We had two teams place in the top three in their divisions. The Ferocious Four (Ann Houghton, Arielle Alston, Gladys Yamoah, and Karmen Aldeco) placed 2nd in the competitive division and ECHS Girls (Bri Bice, AJ Gauthier, Amethyst DeLeon, and Caroline Seal) placed 2nd in the fun division. All the teams worked really hard and we had a great day cheering everyone on and representing the ECHS Owls.
Great Work Owls!

Folklorico
The purpose for this club is to learn and promote the beauty of Mexican Folkloric dances. Little by little, you will be learning dances from different regions of Mexico. You do not need to know how to dance, we will all learn together! Some days, we will also play Mexican games such as Loteria, or Serpientes y Escaleras. Sign up, we are waiting for you!
PTSA Completes it's First Full Year!
The Early College High School PTSA will complete its first full school year this May. We have come a long way since our first formation meeting in February 2017, growing from less than 20 members then to 97 as of May 1st. We have established a great working relationship with our school leadership, the ECHS Student Council and clubs, as well as our incredible teachers. We held a very successful silent auction fundraiser in April which will allow us to be an even more effective partner in the coming school year as we grow by 50% by adding a third grade level.
We are so proud of our students as they take on the challenge of an ever increasing number of college courses in addition to their high school workload. In 2020 we will graduate our first students with associates degrees to go along with their high school diplomas. Our tireless counseling staff is already working with universities around the state to smoothly transition their degrees into universities and colleges around the state. The future is bright at ECHS!
