Homework
As a way to reward the students for all their hard work over the school year, and to be able to focus on wrapping up the year in the best way possible, this week will be the last week of homework. We will NOT have homework for the rest of the month of June. If you would like to have extra practice sent home in math or literacy, please let me know and I will make accommodations.
2nd Grade Happenings
Community Meeting
The second grade class represented well at our final Community Meeting! As a way to share all second grade learned about Haddonfield's history, Ms. Rossi's, Ms. Parady's and our class sent representatives to share some fun facts about our Flat Haddy Project. As collages of class pictures went by, students shared their fun facts to a crowd of students, teachers, and parents! Congrats to our representatives. We are proud of your hard work, as well as the second grade class!
Our class also participated in a separate project. Working in groups, students created posters of some of the most popular landmarks in Haddonfield. These posters, as well as Flat Haddy pictures, will be displayed in the hallway next week. Below are some photos from the Community Meeting and working on the poster projects.
Subject Spotlight: Science
Recently, 2Mc received 10 new furry friends! Our caterpillars arrived as tiny, hungry critters, and have made great growth over the past few weeks! Students have been working as scientists and not only made preliminary observations of their caterpillars, but also studied and recorded information about their size, diet, and habitat. Our friends have moved onto the chrysalis stage, and we hope to watch them complete their metamorphosis to butterflies by next week! Check out pictures below of friends not only making observations, but also recording those observations in their journal.
Help Wanted!
One Last Project
As the school year rapidly comes to an end, I'm working on an end of year gift for each student. I would like to make each gift different and unique, just like your child! In order to do so, it would be greatly appreciated if you can send me an email with 5-10 adjectives that you would use to describe your child. Please send these to me by Wednesday, June 7th. I cannot wait to see how these projects turn out! Thank you in advanced.
