Big picture

Dear Twelve Bridges families,

This is our last official week of "school". Normally, this is such a busy and exciting time on campus, full of emotion and joy. As I reflect on this year, it feels so long ago that we were all together. I miss the simplicity of those days, but I look forward to the future with hope and optimism. As we wrap up the year, I just want to thank all of you for your patience, flexibility, and hard work as we all adapted during these trying times.

Monday and Tuesday are our material pick-up and drop-off days. See below for details.

I hope to see everyone on Friday for our drive-thru parade! Wear your TBE spirit gear, green or yellow! See below for specific driving details.

Take care,

Will Middleton

Twelve Bridges Elementary Materials Pick-up and Drop-off- June 1st and June 2nd

We will have two grade-levels dropping-off/picking-up at a time. Depending on the grade level, families will go to one of the following locations:

Location 1:

Pull into the main entrance of TBE. Drive around the parking lot and pull in front of the kindergarten building. Teachers will meet families at their car, retrieve school materials from their trunks, and place materials to go home back in their trunks.

Location 2:

Drive in through the park entrance and pull along the curb in front of the multipurpose building. Teachers will meet the families at their car, retrieve school materials from their trunks, and place materials to go home back in their trunks.

Families will need to return any textbooks, library books, classroom books, and any work the teacher needs to collect (if applicable). Chromebooks will be returned in a separate location.

Teachers will distribute artwork, personal belongings, Potters vouchers, and yearbooks if applicable.

  • TK/K will be stationed in front of the kindergarten building (See Location 1 directions above)

If families have multiple children, they can contact each teacher and arrange a single pick-up/drop-off time during one of the student’s grade level times.

TBE Drive-Thru Parade on June 5th!

Come celebrate the start of summer and say goodbye to the TBE staff in a drive-thru parade on June 5th! We have staggered start times by grade level and have created a "parade route" to avoid traffic problems. To maintain social distancing and comply with the guidance from the county, we ask that everyone stay in their cars the entire time and only members from the same household should be in each car.

Cars should start on Southcreek Drive and turn left onto Eastridge Drive. Take another left into the park entrance. The "parade" will take place in the TBE parking lot, starting at the park and going down past the multi, admin building, and kindergarten building. Teachers and staff will be standing along the sidewalk to say goodbye as you proceed through the parking lot. Traffic will flow in reverse of normal in our main parking area. Upon exiting, please turn left onto Eastridge Drive or go straight onto Glenveagh Lane.

Parade Start Time

  • TK & K at 11:00
  • 1st-11:10
  • 2nd-11:20
  • 3rd-11:30
  • 4th-11:40
  • 5th-11:50
  • If you have students in multiple grade levels, pick the time that works best for you.

Start on Southcreek Drive, heading towards Eastridge. Make a left onto Eastridge.

Six Flags Read to Succeed

Many of you participated in the Six Flags Read to Succeed Program this year! If your student read and logged at least 6 hours of recreational reading using their online portal, they have earned a free ticket to Six Flags!

As you know, parks are currently closed and they do not know when they will be reopening. Due to the circumstances, they are not able to put valid dates on the tickets because they want to be sure that they can give everyone plenty of time to visit the park. Instead of issuing tickets as they have done in the past, students will receive a certificate with a special code. When parks re-open, you can use this code to access and download their ticket online. Student certificates should be available on May 11th in the Six Flags online portal. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Bremner at dbremner@wpusd.org.
