Ohlone Family Connection
November 10, 2020
We will miss you, Prince.
Hello, Ohlone Families,
I would like to take this moment to thank Ohlone farm manager, Marieluise. Year after year, Marieluise provides a safe and loving home for our animals. She has taken care of Prince for the past 15 1/2 years. Her care for his well-being has defined his happy and well-lived life. Marieluise spends countless hours on the farm, many on her own time, and she does this for the love of the animals and the students who have enjoyed our beautiful farm over the years. Thank you to Marieluise and all of our animal care parent volunteers who have taken care of Prince and all of our animals on the farm. We appreciate you.
Our transition into hybrid and distance learning with 4/5 students went well, minus a few bumps with our specials schedule. We're getting it! There is something about having some of our 4/5 students back on campus that changes the vibe in the best way possible. New classrooms communities and friendships are forming online and in-person. Ohlone is finding its way in the Ohlone Way :).
As a reminder, there is no school tomorrow, November 11th, to honor our military veterans. Enjoy the day with your family, and we will see you on Thursday, November 12th.
Take care and stay well.
Dawn
Ohlone Principal
