Don Benito Fundamental - Updates 03/01/2021
Message from the Principal
Dear Don Benito Families,
Welcome March! This week we are celebrating Read Across America. This is a national reading event to promote literacy and the love of reading. Activities include: Spirit Week, Story Time in the early evenings and having Guest Readers, such as firefighters, police officers and other community members. The Scholastic Book Fair also opens tomorrow. There is a great selection of books for all reading levels and interests. Hope your family will join us as we celebrate reading! Please find additional information in the newsletter.
I know many are anticipating our school buildings reopening. It is positive to hear that COVID-19 cases are declining and government guidelines are more flexible. Although an official date has not been announced yet, everyone at PUSD is working diligently in getting ready for the next phase. The health department has coordinated vaccinations for over 850 staff members and will continue to offer vaccinations throughout this month. The facilities department is working on getting our campuses ready for students. Teachers and staff are receiving training on new protocols. We are working as a team to ensure that safety is a priority. The return to school survey is still open. Please take a moment to complete it if you have not done so. If your choice has changed, you may submit another survey. Your latest response will be used. Please reach out to the school, if you need assistance in completing the survey.
