NO School -- Monday, Sept 23
Principal's Message
Attendance matters. Today, students received a snack donated from Sodexo to acknowledge attendance in school. Sodexo also donated Beats for the raffle. Our goal is 95% or higher for attendance. Currently, Lane is meeting the goal.
On Monday, Sept 23, staff will engage in conversations around restoring conversations in the classroom, intro to project based learning and project based learning 2. We will also look at recent MAP data which drives our student learning objectives.
I would like to thank everyone for their patience as we work with First Student. We are aware that buses have been late in picking up in the morning and afternoon. We continue to communicate with families when we have information to share. Our goal is for everyone to travel to school and home from school safely.

Attendance Matters!
Parent Teacher Conferences -- format has changed!
The first parent teacher conferences will be held on Wednesday October 9th.
From 4:30 - 6:00, we will have another Academic Parent Teacher Team Meeting (similar to the first part of open house). This will be a time for you to work closely with your student's classroom teachers to look at Math and Reading data, learn what can be done at home to help in those areas, and set reading and math goals for your student. You will also have time to have personalized conversations with the teacher about your student.
The second portion of the night will be from 6:00 - 8:00 and it will be the usual arena style conferences. ALL teachers will be set up at tables in the cafe and auxiliary gym and you can speak to any teachers you would like to see. We ask that these conferences be about 5 minutes in length.
