In 19th Century, many things began forming America.
Booming Business
During the 19th century, vehicles were being made to support the huge rise in cargo trade and sell. There were two main ways, a steamboat, or a train.
Developments in the Industry.
Businesses were able to grow with all the trade and selling going on, like instead of picking out cotton little by little, they had a cotton gin, this machine separated cotton from its thorny rest.
Hard Work
Though business was good, the workers worked under terrible conditions, a particular group was the Lowell girls, they were hired by the mills to work. Mary Paul, a Lowell girl herself spoke and wrote of these conditions. She said ,"My life and health are spared, while others are cut off," meaning many died died due to these conditions.
