Mid-Year Mindset Message from Mrs. Holley
CFK Families,
It is hard to believe I am writing a “mid-year” message. At times it feels like August was not too long ago, and at other times it seems we have quite a ways to go this year. It seems like the seasons can’t even make up their mind to progress forward. However, time moves on. CFK teachers and staff continue to affirm our 4 BEs through conversations with classes and individuals while also striving to lead by example in those expectations. Our common language of these 4 BEs- Be safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Problem Solvers in conversations at home and school enables us to effectively communicate the same expectations to all students.
We simply cannot thank you enough for your continued support as we work towards a strong finish for the 3rd nine weeks. The 3rd nine weeks is traditionally the hardest of the nine weeks as academic rigor, pacing, and extracurricular activities seem to increase across the board. We are so proud of CFK students who continually step up to reach and exceed goals set, demonstrate academic and social growth, and maintain a solid work ethic. The Iceberg Illusion image here reminds us all of the skills, strategies, and supports needed to achieve growth and success.
You are not alone in your efforts to encourage these positive behaviors or support in the unseen sacrifices, disappointments, or opportunities for growth through failure, and we appreciate your daily investment to do so.
With Gratitude,
Mrs. Holley

Fireflies Reading Program
Your child's class is participating in the Fireflies Reading Program. Students will have the opportunity to improve their reading skills while earning a surprise gift and a ticket to a Fireflies baseball game. Students will also receive a free hot dog, chips, and drink to enjoy during the game. Reading program will start March 4 and ends March 14.
Each class has a reading assignment students must complete. Once they have completed their assignment their homeroom teacher will reward them with a ticket order form. Plan to join us on our school's game day, May 3!
Information about the program and your child's reading assignment was sent home in PCFs on February 28.
