We have access to our Kyte Learning accounts through November 1, 2019. Remember to click "Sign In With Google." You can use our remaining time to explore and boost up your knowledge and skills to start off next school year.
In addition, our Kyte rep told me they would be adding courses soon to allow teachers to prepare for Google Educator Certification exams. Google Certified Educator
Google also offers a Certified Trainer Program. To be a trainer, you must be a certified educator first. There are additional requirements to becoming a trainer, including another assessment, filming a training video, and conducting a case study. In addition, you must be able to train others a minimum of 12 times per year, as there are recertification requirements each year.
Apple Educator
To begin, visit the Apple Teacher Center and sign in using your Apple ID. You will see there are about 8 badges to earn, and the website provides tutorials and explanations for each. To earn your badge, you take a quiz over the concept you learned about. After you complete the Apple Teacher Certification, you can also learn more about Coding and the Swift Playground App and earn badges for those as well.
These certifications are a great thing to pursue because they demonstrate a certain skill level as well as an investment into becoming a high-tech leader for your campus. Be sure to share any certifications you obtain with your administrators!

Tips for Your High Tech Transition
- Work with your team to plan meaningful tech integration and support each other with implementation.
- Seek recommendations or assistance from your Instructional Coaches.
- Practice your tech before you use it with students.
- Set a goal for yourself. For example: I will incorporate at least 1 tech activity into my lesson plans each week.
- Plan ways for teachers to support teachers. Consider a monthly morning get-together where teachers can take turns demonstrating what has worked for them in the classroom.
