A Word From Mrs. Loor
Dear Franklin Families,
I would like to wish a happy Diwali to all our families who celebrated this past week! I love the diversity of culture, heritage and religions within our community.
We recognized Red Ribbon Week by sharing different tips and facts about healthy living every day during morning announcements. Our 5th graders have been doing an amazing job leading the announcements along with Ms. Audino.
In the spirit of fostering independence and promoting responsibility of our students, I would like to continue to encourage you to limit the dropping off of items (lunch, snack, instrument, homework, Chromebook, etc.). Understandably, we do forget from time to time. Any items dropped off must be labeled with the child's name and teacher's name and left on the table in the security vestibule past the front entrance.
Our Halloween parade will take place tomorrow, October 31st at 1:45 pm. If you did not fill out your child's Halloween form, please fill out it now. Everyone must fill out this Google Form to ensure proper dismissal.
Looking forward to a Spooktacular afternoon!
With Warmest Regards,
Mrs. Loor

If your child tests positive for COVID-19, immediately contact your child's school secretary or school nurse. Please click on the "Reporting" tab and receive additional information related to your child's diagnosis.
During medium and high (yellow and orange) community levels, the NJ Department of Health recommends COVID testing when symptomatic (Union County is currently yellow). It is recommended that students who who have two or more symptoms from category A, or at least one symptom from category B, test for COVID.

OR
B: At least one of the following symptoms: cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, new loss of smell, or new loss of taste.
COVID QUARANTINE AND ISOLATION GUIDELINES
All COVID positive students must complete a 5 isolation (with day 0 being the date of the positive test or the date of first symptoms) in order to return to school, regardless of vaccination status. Students returning to school on day 6 will be required to wear a mask at school on days 6-10 (Unless they present a negative COVID test on days 6 and 8). Please contact your school nurse to confirm all return dates. Virtual instruction is no longer available during COVID isolation.
