Nearly 4,000 Attend First Annual Future Viking Night

The First Annual Future Viking Night was a huge hit on Friday as nearly 4,000 fans saw the football program earn a 49-19 win over Mehlville in their season opener. Students from all Howell High feeder elementary's and middle schools were invited to attend the game free. The night also featured great performances by the band, cheer, and dance programs. Howell Superfans Bring School Spirit To Events

Howell is truly a special place and one group is working hard to help bring all students closer together to support each other and celebrate the success of Vikings. The Howell Superfans are regulars at all Howell events and continue to grow the fan base at Howell. On Friday night the Superfans continued their tradition of strong support as Howell stadium saw one of the largest opening night crowds in history. The Howell Superfans are an integral part of Howell events and we look forward to the continued support and sportsmanship that this group brings to our events.

Howell Student Collects Soccer Equipment For Students In Ghana

Howell sophomore student-athlete Reagan Cathcart recently collected balls, back packs, uniforms, shoes, and other soccer equipment to be shipped to Yendi, Ghana in Africa. Reagan will be handing out the equipment when she arrives in Ghana in January as part of a medical mission trip. A very special thank you to Howell, Soccer Master, nlocal soccer clubs, and the Howell community for their donations to this great cause.

Students Show Their #vikingpride On Friday

On Friday, students across the district dressed in their Howell blue and gold to show their support for the Vikings. Students from John Weldon, Independence, Daniel Boone, Castlio, Warren, Central, Howell Middle, Bryan Middle and Howell High all competed to show their #vikingpride for the chance to win a donut breakfast. Congratulations to Mr. Pohling's Daniel Boone elementary class for winning the donut breakfast!

The activities were all part of the First Annual Future Vikings Night held at Howell. The event was developed to bring the Howell family closer together to celebrate the beginning of the school year. You can learn more about this great event by clicking the link below.

Band Prepares For FHSD Band Preview

On Thursday night, all three FHSD high school bands will meet at Howell Central for the FHSD Band Preview. The event allows the community and fans to preview all three high school show's that they will be performing during the competition season this fall. Viking fans can check out our very talented band at 7:00 p.m. at Howell Central on Thursday.

The Howell Band 2017 contest program is entitled “Infinity: No Beginning, No End” and is directed by Chris Miller and assisted by Mark Ishman and Bryan White. The Drum Majors are Matt Bahan, Mary Todd and Brandon Hofman. The program also features a solo by Amanda Lynch. Good luck to our 2017 band as they begin the competition season.

Howell Baseball Inducts Two Vikings Into Baseball Hall Of Fame

The Howell baseball program hosted it's 16th Annual Bill Todd Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday at Incline Village. As part of the tournament, former Howell greats Brett Peel and Tim Avants were inducted into the Howell Baseball Hall of Fame. Congratulations to the two Howell alums on this great honor.

Soccer Earns First Win Of Season In FZE Tournament

The Howell soccer program kicked off their season with a strong 7-0 victory over Ritenour on Saturday morning in the FZE Tournament. The Viking were led by Tommy Naumann and Tony Sesti who each scored two goals. Soccer will now play Monday night in the second round of the FZE Tournament. State Runner Up Volleyball Program Competes In Jamboree

Our 2016 state runner-up volleyball program took to the courts on Tuesday to host a four team jamboree in preparation for the upcoming season. The Lady Vikings had a strong showing with two wins and a split. You can see the results from the jamboree below. Good luck to the volleyball program as they kick off their season this week.

Softball To Host Purple Out Game At Lindenwood University

The Howell Softball program will hold their annual "Purple Out" game on September 6th versus FHC at Lindenwood University at 7:00 p.m. The event started as a way to honor the memory of a special Howell student named Trevor Joerling, and has now grown as a way to show support to those families fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma. Money is raised to support the "Purple Out Scholarship," which will be given to a graduating senior who shows strength, leadership, and a passion for what they want to pursue in life. Additional funds will go towards families who are currently fighting the Hodgkins battle.

Niboh Excels In First Varsity Game

Howell sophomore Gideon Niboh played in his first varsity game on Friday and he made the most of the opportunity. On the night he rushed for 120 yards on 7 carries and scored 3 touchdowns. Congratulations to Gideon!

Softball Volunteers With Special Olympics

Howell student-participants continue to do great things in our community and for many organizations. On Saturday, the Howell softball program volunteered with the Special Olympics to help make their softball tournament possible.
