What a Semester we have had!!
Message from the TEACHERS!
Hi Parents,
WOW! What a fun and exciting term it has been. The students have adapted so well throughout the Learning from home process and then returning back to school. I was able to see some really great online learning and the students really applied themselves when completing set activities on Seesaw, Mathletics and Reading Eggs. Upon returning to school, the students in 4C have had fun learning, communicating and playing with their friends. We have shared a number of great, fun learning experiences together. Mrs Borg and I, have enjoyed our time team teaching 4C and watching them develop in their learning. We look forward to Term 4.

Numeracy
During this semester, 4C have been working hard to develop in their math skills. Students have been learning about Division, Multiplication, 2D and 3D shapes and Measurement. They have had short, sharp sessions to help students build a better understanding of their timetables and to learn and apply a number of different strategies and mathematical thinking.
Literacy
This Semester for Literacy, 4C have been participating in Focus on Reading, Guided Reading and Writing. For Writing, since returning to school, 4C have focused on persuasive writing and procedures. The class managed to persuade and convince me to let them do cooking. They provided such great reasons that it was hard to say NO. They then went on to write numerous procedures when cooking, that they carried out in class. Two example of this were milkshake making and pizza making. We enjoyed these fun, hands-on experiences together. The students were thoroughly engaged in these literacy sessions.
Science
For Science this Semester, 4C have been focusing on Living things and Physical World- light, heat and electrical energy. They have been doing different experiments and have shared some with the younger students! They have also participated in a number of STEM activities where they have had to use their creativity, communication skills and collaborate with others. The students demonstrated Higher order thinking skills when completing the set challenges. 4C thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of making a kite using minimal materials and making it fly. They ALL had great success.
