What if our kids...
- could be their own teacher
- could articulate what they are learning and why
- could talk about how they are learning/the strategies they are using to learn
- could articulate their next learning steps
- could use self-regulation strategies
- sought and aspired to be challenged, were resilient
- could set mastery goals
- asked questions
- saw errors as opportunities and were comfortable saying that they didn't know and/or needed help
- positively support the learning of their peers
- knew what to do when they didn't know what to do
- actively sought feedback
- had metacognitive skills and could talk about them
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I think we can all agree we would be moving in the right direction! Chad, Art, Theo, and I will be working with a consultant sent to us from the district to help us make progress in achieving these outcomes for our students in our setting! (Thursday meeting) Hoping to share our progress during the district PD day!
