A Fond Farwell

Our receptionist, Ashley Musso, has accepted a position to further her career and will be leaving Cypress effective this Friday, January 15th. Ashley has done an exceptional job at the front desk and we are all going to miss her terribly.

Jamaal Sanders, one of our Special Education Instructional Assistants, is moving on up as well. He has accepted a position in another district. He is going to be greatly missed by students, staff and parents alike. Jamaal's last day will be Thursday, January 21st.

Both of these incredible people have touched our hearts and have had a huge impact on Cypress. We are so proud of them and their new accomplishments! Please join us in wishing them the absolute best in their new endeavors!

Note of Appreciation

Cypress would like to recognize and thank School Board member, Russell Bundy, for his passion and dedication to the Leander School District. He is one of an INCREDIBLE group of Superheros that work tirelessly to bring the best school experience to all Leander ISD students. Please join us in thanking Mr. Bundy for all that he does for our students, staff and district.

Garden Harvest & Tasting

Our fall plants are ready to harvest! Students will have an opportunity this Friday, January 15th to sample some incredible crops of kale, spinach, lettuces, Swiss chard, cauliflower, broccoli, etc. Parents you would be amazed at how much the children enjoy this experience and want to go back for seconds and thirds!

If you are able to volunteer to help out with this on Friday, please join us. We can use some extra hands to pass out the samples. All volunteers must be approved.

Box Tops

Hi Parents!! HEB is doing bonus box tops now until 1/19!!! If you buy 10 items you get 60 bonus box tops and if you buy 15 you will receive 100 bonus box tops!! That is $10 for the school just for buying items you get everyday. It is a great time to stock up on pantry items like cereal and and snacks for school. Make sure when you check out that they give you the bonus box tops. It prints out in the same place that prints coupons for you when you check out. We have more fun contests planned for the spring, so start collecting now (also a great time to ask parents and friends to start collecting for your child too!!). Thank you for supporting our school. https://cashforyoureducation.com/offers

Spring Planting in the Garden

If you are interested (and we hope you are) in joining the garden committee to help with spring planting, please email Andrea Schulle at the following address andrea@as-such.com. Planting days are great fun for the whole family. As soon as a date is set for spring planting, we will let you know.
