A Message From Principal Kilpatrick
Dear Highlander Families,
December is always a fast and furious month with a lot of learning and some holiday fun sprinkled in too! There is a lot happening at McAndrew Elementary this month, please find the latest information below.
We are so fortunate to have such wonderful parent and community support. Thank you for a great first semester! Highlander Harvest Festival was so much fun for our students. Thank you to our volunteers for a great day! What a wonderful way to begin the Thanksgiving break. Thank you to our volunteer elves that came by the school to help decorate for the holidays. What a sight! Thank you for getting our students and staff in the festive spirit!
The lost and found is getting full! With the cold weather upon us, students are going to need their jackets. Please come by and check out the lost and found if you are missing items. Please write your students name on jackets, lunchboxes and hats so we can help return them to their owner if lost.
Thank you for your continuous support,
Vicki Kilpatrick, Principal

Attention 5th Grade Parents!
Northside ISD has both high school and middle school magnet schools, which offer specialized academic focuses in addition to the standard curriculum. These schools are open to students from across school zone boundaries, attracting students based on their interests and talents. Magnet schools provide enriched learning environments and unique opportunities for exploration and growth
Mark your calendars for an exciting opportunity! Join us on December 4th at our NISD Sports Gym for our first Magnet Fair of the year. Discover all three of Northside's exceptional middle school magnet programs, including Health Sciences, STEM, and Cybersecurity. It's a fantastic chance for your 5th-grade student to explore their educational future. Don't miss out on this event, where you can learn about the enriching experiences that await your child in middle school. See you there!
