Disability Awareness Day- Save the Date- 3/24
If you have a friend or relative with a disability or who works in the field of disabilities, please contact Jean Zika to sign up to be a reader: jean.zika@ousd.org
Students will watch the Axis Dance Company, a contemporary dance group with an unusual body of dancers, some of whom are disabled. During this time, readers will be visiting the classes who are not in the assembly. They will share books and their personal experiences to deepen students’ understanding of living with disabilities. After this rich morning, our Glenview scholars will have a sense of what disabilities are. More importantly, they will learn how similar people with and without disabilities really are.
Thanks to Ms. Davis, Ms. Brodsky, Ms. Zika, and Ms. Bowers who are helping to coordinate this day for us!
