HFRCS Newsletter SY2021-2022
September 14, 2021 - Volume 1 Issue 4
From the Principal's Office
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the first full week of school! This week, we welcomed our youngest learners to their PK3, PK4, and Kindergarten classrooms. This week we also began full schedules in middle school with changing of classes, special subject classes, and the breakfast and hot lunch program. We should be into the swing of things by the end of this week!
With the little ones starting this week, our morning carline drop off may be slower than usual. We appreciate your patience as all our students acclimate themselves to the drop off process. Likewise, our afternoon carline dismissal is going well, but usually takes a few weeks for everyone to get into the routine. Both carline drop off and dismissal are designed to provide the safest method of coming to school and dismissing from school. We very much appreciate your patience!
This Wednesday, September 15 and Thursday, September 16, we will be inviting our parents into the classroom for Back to School Night. On Wednesday, Back to School Night will be for grades 1-5. There will be two sessions: one from 7:00-7:30, and another from 7:30-8:00. We would like to ask that ONE parent attend, so that we can keep numbers manageable in the classroom. If you have two children in grades 1-5, both parents could attend with each going to a different classroom. On Thursday, we would ask that one parent attend for middle school, grades 6-8. Begin by going to your child's homeroom and then you will be provided with your child's schedule, and you will move from class to class. The objective of our Back to School Night sessions is for parents to meet their child's teacher(s) and to become familiar with the policies and organization of the classroom. We hope that you can attend!
This afternoon, our Catholic students in grades 3-8 received the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Several priests from our community joined our Pastor, Monsignor McCormac, in providing the sacrament in church. This Friday we will have our Opening of School Mass at 9:30. Students in grades 1-8 will be attending Mass that will be led by our 8th grade and celebrated by Monsignor McCormac. Please join us if your schedule permits.
As you may have noticed, this year we will not be using cycle days. Since we have two part-time teachers in both Art and Physical Education, cycle days will not work for us this year. Schedules will work on a Monday through Friday system.
Finally, we look forward to celebrating the opening of school with the Back to School Ice Cream Social and Gift Card Bingo this Friday, September 17th beginning at 6:00 PM in the Large Hall. More details are provided in this newsletter. Please RSVP to Bridget Baill (bbaillhf@gmail.com) if you haven’t already.
As always, I am grateful for the strong team we have here at Holy Family, in our faculty, staff, students, and parents. May we continue to work together this year to make the year a rewarding one for all!
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Haggerty
Breakfast/Lunch Program
Our Lunch Director Mrs. Patricia Prasse is taking her Food Safety Certification on October 8. Breakfast and hot lunch will not be available on October 8 (Friday). Please plan accordingly since students need to bring their own meals. Also, as a reminder, October 5 (Tuesday) is a scheduled day off for the students.
Breakfast and Lunch Menu for September and October are available on the school website. October order forms are also posted. October orders are due by tomorrow, September 15.
For any questions about the breakfast and lunch program, please contact: Mrs. Patricia Prasse

Morning Car Line - We need your help!
Here are some reminders so you can help us out:
- Please have your child(ren) exit by the right passenger side (if possible) so they can safely exit toward the sidewalk.
- Parents should stay in their vehicles. We have staff ready to help open doors and assist your children out of the car.
- Please have your children ready to go with their belongings (e.g. backpack, water bottles), so they do not leave anything behind.

Your child should have brought home forms for your review and signature. Please return the completed forms to school by this week:
