Jane Addams was born in Cedarville, Illinois. She went to Rockford Female Seminary for college. Jane Addams was not only educated, she was religious too. She was baptized as a Christian.

Jane Addams Was A Progressive!

Jane Addams founded the Hull House of Illinois for immigrants. She helped turn the United States to issues such as concerns of mothers, world peace and the needs of children. She had the first settlement house in the United States. Jane Addams used the house to keep families safe and to improve their living conditions.

Jane Addams had many accomplishments. She founded the Hull House. She graduated from Rockford Female Seminary college, which was an all girls school. She was educated and religious, and that was a major accomplishment of Jane Addams.

Why I Researched jane Addams

I researched Jane Addams because I wanted to know more about her. I wanted to learn more about the Hull House. I learned that the Hull House was the first settlement in the United States. I also wanted to know how the Hull House started and what happened in it. I wanted to know why and how Jane Addams helped other people.
