Scott County Community Foundation have opened our 2018 Community Grants Program In order to fulfill most effectively its philanthropic responsibilities within the limits of its resources, the Scott County Community Foundation’s Community Grants Program will emphasize focused and effective types of grants. Winter Percussion Sees Strong Start to Season
On February 17th, the Scottsburg Winter Percussion began their competitive season at Franklin Central High School, competing in the Indiana Percussion Association circuit. The ensemble had a very solid first performance of the season and tied for 4th out of 10 ensembles with a close score behind the first place winner. The Winter Percussion will next travel to New Palestine High School tomorrow, March 3rd, to compete in the Indiana Percussion Association circuit once again.

Winter Guards Continue Great Seasons
The Scottsburg Winter Guards continued their successful seasons the past two weekends by placing in each competition. On February 17th, all three winter guards (Varsity, JV, and Middle School) traveled to Conner High School in Hebron, KY to compete in the Tri-State Marching Arts Circuit. All three winter guards had outstanding runs of their show and came away with 1st place in their respective classes! Congratulations to the students, directors, and staff on this great accomplishment!
This past weekend, the JV and Middle School Guards traveled to Campbell County High School in Kentucky to compete once again in Tri-State Circuit. The JV Guard placed 3rd out of 7 in their class, and the Middle School Guard came away with yet another victory! The Middle School Winter Guard is currently undefeated, building on their undefeated Gold Medalist season from a year ago. The Varsity Winter Guard traveled to Hamilton Southeastern High School to compete in the Indiana High School Color Guard Association circuit and came away with a 3rd place finish in their round, with a score that placed 6th out of 21 total groups.
