Lessons, Fieldtrips & Fun!

Happy April!

Hello again students and parents! This month we are going to be covering a lot of new material and also will be going on a field trip! We also have a few more surprises in store for you all!

Lessons!

Math: In math for this unit, we will be learning about fractions! We will learn about fractions and how to show equivalents to those fractions through games, models and words!
Language Arts: We will be starting persuasive essay writing. We will learn how to persuade others into thinking something new through our writing!
Reading: For our story this unit we will be reading Crenshaw the Cat by Katherine Applegate. This story is about Crenshaw, the imaginary friend of Jackson. Crenshaw helps Jackson through some tough times.
Science: This unit, we will be learning more about magnets and electricity! We will be doing many fun activities like making light bulbs work and finding objects around the classroom that are magnetic!

Social Studies: In Social Studies, we will be learning about The Declaration of Independence and how America came to be!

Field Trip!

Upcoming Events!

We have a school play coming up at the end of May!
Every class will be preparing a song and dance during Music. There are also opportunities for students to play other parts!
