Multiplication Madness

simple activity

Use of Timers

The simple activity our group came up with that uses technology is one that involves timers. This would be used for elementary school grades, especially third graders. In this example, the students will be given times tables and will have to complete as many as they can before the timer goes off. I remember doing this myself in third grade and it really did help master those skills. The subject lesson would be mathematics, of course, and more specifically multiplication skills.

When to use this activity?

This activity is one that should happen at the end of each week. It is used as a tool to master a skill and make sure the kids are staying on top of what they are learning each year. It helps the kids memorize their skills and move at a speedy pace at the same time.
