Hello Forest Oak Families,
We have made it through September! It is hard to believe October is already here and we have been in school for 21 days! The students are settling into the routines and procedures and it has been exciting for me to visit classrooms and see students learning!
This past week we sent home the PTA Spirit Walk FUNdraising flyer and collection envelopes. This event will be held on October 28th. This fundraiser will help support events like Family Bingo Night, Breakfast with Santa, and other PTA sponsored events. You can check out the flyer below or click on the green bar to donate online. We also have a PTA meeting coming up this week on Tuesday, October 4th. We would love to have you join us online. You can find the zoom link info below. And finally, be on the lookout for picture forms in your student's bookbag in the next two weeks. Picture day will be October 19th.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Forest Oak PTA Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser
Forest Oak Elementary is a school where student thrive and children feel good about the place they call their school. We believe that this is because of the incredible students that attend our school, the awesome staff who believe that relationships with students are key to optimal learning, and more importantly the incredible support of our families. We could not engage in the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun things we do here without your monetary support. Please know that no amount is too small. Your ongoing support are truly appreciated. Donations can be made by clicking the green link below or by sending cash in the fundraiser envelope that your student received in school.
-Any one who donates will get a small incentive
-Students who raise at least $50 will get a t-shirt
-Top earners in each grade level will be in a raffle for a gift basket
-All students will participate in the Spirit Walk on October 28th
DID YOU TURN IN YOUR CHILD'S STUDENT DATA CARD?
Each student was sent home with their student data card at the start of the year. It is imperative for these to be returned to school if you have not done so already.
In order for students to go on field trips, this must be turned in! If you need a new one, please email Nurse Sauder at colleen.sauder@redclay.k12.de.us
Free internet available for qualifying students
Households with at least one child who is eligible for the National School Lunch Program may qualify for free high-speed Internet with the federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) and Internet Essentials from Comcast. The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) will cover the monthly price of home Internet so there is no cost to students’ families who enroll in Internet Essentials or Internet Essentials Plus. For more on the Affordable Connectivity Program visit: www.affordableconnectivity.gov. More information is available at www.acpbenefit.org.
