Happy Friday, Sundance Families!
We had a wonderful week celebrating and honoring our students' creativity and enthusiasm around the engineering design process. Thank you for attending our first annual STEAM Showcase! We also wrapped up our Fun Run fundraiser today. A HUGE thank you for donating to our Fun Run!! Here's the final amount... drum roll please!! $33,623.00!! Please join me for our upcoming Friday Flag on March 31st at 7:50am followed by coffee with me in the library. Our coffee will cover upcoming events, our Counselor's mid-year report, and helpful tips to prepare your 3rd-5th grader for our upcoming statewide test.

Helpful Information (NEW):
- Calling all 3rd-5th Grade Parents: The interactive page can be used as a resource for practice and training tests for our upcoming SBAC testing. Testing will begin the week of April 24th.
- Continuing Registration: 75% of our returning families have completed the continuing registration! Please see the messaging below if you have not completed this yet.
- Vision and Hearing Screening: TK, Kinder, 1st Grade Boys (Color blindness), 2nd and 5th will participate in the screening on March 31st. Please email Mary Brister, Health Tech, at mbrister@powayusd.com if you do not want your child to participate.

Continuing Student Registration - Complete by March 31st
PUSD 2023-2024 Continuing Student Registration is Open!
Online Continuing Student Registration will be open until March 31, 2023.We MUST receive a completed digital packet for all returning students. This will allow for proper placement of your student for the 2023-2024 school year. This annual digital process will allow a family to complete one single “family” packet instead of completing one packet per student. Packets can be completed using any computer, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection.
Continuing Registration Steps:
1. Login and complete the digital registration packet online at the ParentVue portal: https://sis.powayusd.com/Packet
2. Review and complete the required forms located at the conclusion of the process. A packet is not considered finalized until this step is completed.
Please note: MEDICATION FORMS or ADDITIONAL SIGNED SITE SPECIFIC FORMS WILL NOT BE COLLECTED UNTIL SCHOOL BEGINS IN AUGUST FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR.

Foundation/PAC Updates
Thank You - Fun Run Fundraiser 2023!
The fundraiser was a HUGE success! Thank you to all of the Sundance students and families who participated. We have raised over $33,000 from all over the globe! Final fundraising totals, class, and individual awards will be shared soon. And stay tuned for the new Fun Run date, we can’t wait to celebrate our students’ efforts and hard work!
Thank you to Chiyo Padilla, our Fun Run chair, plus Mrs. Katz, Ms. Joni, Sean O’Connor, Stephanie Warner, Terri Ramundo, Manisha Patel, Jacki Congdon, and Ana Matthews for their extra help, as well as the numerous volunteers who have stepped up to pack prize goodie bags, distribute them, and more.
Parents’ Night Out & Auction | Friday, April 28th, 6-9PM - Tickets Go on Sale in April!
Are the babysitters booked yet? The Parents’ Night Out & Auction will be a night you won’t want to miss! Join us at Malahat Spirits from 6-9 pm for dinner, drinks and auction benefitting Sundance. The Auction committee has been hard at work to plan a fun night out for all of the Sundance parents - we hope to see you there! Pre-sale tickets will be available in April, so stay tuned for dates and times in the Weekly Wildcat.
Spring Hunt at Sundance
Hello Wildcats! Girl Scout Troop 3115 is hosting a Spring Hunt for Sundance. Starting on April 3rd, students can find mini ducks around the campus and turn them in at the front office for a prize. The hunt will run from April 3rd to April 7th. All troop members are Sundance Alumni, and are super excited to do this for their fellow Wildcats! Best of luck, finding the ducks! What a great way to welcome Spring!
2023 Twin Trails Education Foundation Fundraising Update!
The Twin Trails Education Foundation is excited to share we have exceeded this year’s fundraising goal!! Between the fundraising success of the Red Envelope Campaign, and the hard work of the Sundance students during the Fun Run Fundraiser we have covered the entire year’s operating budget of $62,075! By meeting this goal the Foundation can continue funding and staffing our Music and P.E. programs, support Impact Aide & Noon Duty hours, plus provide free student assemblies, activities and events through our PAC, and much more! Thank you for supporting our students and our school!!
