Parents:
Happy New Year! It is hard to believe it is 2017.
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break. I know our staff enjoyed our time off, and we are glad to be back.
With the possibility of inclement weather approaching, please make sure that you choose one or more of the following options to ensure you are notified about school closings. You can subscribe to the Schoolway App via your Android or Apple device. Once the app is downloaded, you will search for Life School as the district and Cedar Hill Elementary as the campus. Push notifications will be sent out by the campus using this method for school closings. The district also uses School Messenger and will call or send a text message regarding schedule changes due to inclement weather, so please make sure we have your most updated phone number(s) or you will miss these notifications. You can also visit our district website at www.lifeschools.net.

Happy New Year!
Parents, returning after a break is a great opportunity for a fresh start! Encourage your students to:
Consider the new year a time for new opportunities.
Create more good habits and leave bad habits behind.
Start the second half of the school year on a high note!
From the Nurse
Deciding when to keep a sick child at home from school is not always easy.
Information to help you decide to keep your child home due to sickness:
o Fever- 100°F or higher. Must stay home from school for at least 24hrs after they no longer have a fever or signs of a fever, without the use of fever‐reducing medicine.
o Vomiting/diarrhea: Must be vomit free for 24hrs before returning to school
o Reddened eye with watering and/or crusting
o Rash of unknown origin
When in doubt, consult your child's pediatrician.
