What is composting?
Composting is a helpful way to turn your old trash into fresh new dirt. You put your trash into a small bin with some other things which I'll explain later. It's an easy way but it may take a while for which way you do it.
How does composting help the Earth?
The ways that composting help are, that it takes away trash and makes it into fresh new soil. It takes away 30% of garbage in a landfill. The soil that was once trash is more healthy then normal fertilizer you buy at the store. The soil was actually proven and that's what most famers use on their crops or animal fertilizer.

Are there different ways to compost?
Yes, there are actually two ways to compost. The first way is just adding your trash, dirt, and water. This way may take longer, about through the whole summer if you start early spring. The other way is using worms too. Using worms is a lot faster the just the dirt. The worms break the trash down faster.

Well the dirt or the worms break down the waste. Inside dirt are small micro-organism that eat the waste and then break it down. The worms of course also eat the waste and make the dirt.
