Flour Bluff Elementary
Week of March 30
A Message for Our Students...
Online Learning Week One Complete!
The Flour Bluff ISD Board of Trustees met tonight during a Regular Board Meeting and decided to continue with the school closure and distance learning which adhere to the Texas Governor’s Executive Order that all schools will be closed through April 3. The District is waiting for further direction on potential extended closures from local and/or state officials and will provide that information once it is available. As a school district, we are doing our part to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and keep our students and staff safe and healthy.

Routine for Learning at Home & Daily Schedules
I hope you all have been able to establish a daily schedule for your at home learning. Remember that students should spend about 20-25 minutes per subject, per day in at home learning. This schedule provide more than that (30minutes) in each subject but that is wiggle room for you. Please contact your child's teacher if you are struggling with the length and difficulty of online assignments. We are doing our best to make meaningful lessons that are student driven. We are also utilizing several different ways to communicate wtih our families and students for direct instruction including recorded video lessons, google meets or Zoom, and phone calls. Again, please keep in contact with your child's teacher for more.
You can also check out this site for other samples you can fill out to fit your families needs. https://www.superhealthykids.com/parenting/at-home-flexible-daily-schedule-for-kids/ The attached picture is from that site.
