Junior Achievement Classroom Volunteers Needed
Exciting Volunteer Opportunity!
We need volunteers to present Junior Achievement programs at Indian Rock Elementary School. For as little as an hour a week, you can make a difference in the lives of young people in your community. JA programs provide important life skills through hands-on educational activities focusing on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness. Everything you need is provided along with easy-to-follow instructions.
We currently need volunteers in the following classrooms:
3rd grade - Mrs. Boudah, Mrs. Dillow, Mrs. Neff, and Mrs. Peters
4th grade - Miss Hasenfuss and Mrs. Uffelman
5th grade - Mrs. Hare
Click below to learn more and sign up at the bottom of page 5. Assignments will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

Important Spring Reminders!!
With the change in the season come field trips, state mandated testing, warmer weather and thoughts of the end of the school year! Help your child(ren) prepare with a few quick reminders:
Spring weather is unpredictable, send your child to school with light jackets or sweaters for those cooler spring days.
If your child(ren) have seasonal allergies, please make sure to give them their antihistamines (claritin, zyrtec etc) everyday.
Very important at this time of the year (and really all year) that your child gets a good night’s sleep. Ages 6-12 are recommended 9 to 12 hours of sleep per day!
Students, teachers, and staff should stay home when they have signs of any infectious illness and contact their healthcare provider for recommendations for care. Remember allergies are different from ‘the’ flu and Covid, which are still out there!
Hydration is important for everyone, send a water bottle with your child everyday!
Eat a healthy breakfast at home or at school. Food fuels the brain and gives children energy for their fun-filled academic day!
As always, check the Department of Health website for useful health information!
3rd Grade Parents!
If you haven’t returned a dental examination for your child-please do so by the end of the school year. Private dental form can be found here . Dental exams are required for 3rd graders.
5th Grade Parents!
Now is the time to schedule your child’s well child check up! All students entering 6th grade are required to return a physical examination. Private physical forms can be found here . Don’t wait, schedule those check ups today!
Stay healthy, hydrated and well all spring long!
