FitPic Competition
Our Sports Ambassadors would like to thank the 8 children who sent in their pictures along with a write up about their sporting interests. They each received a small gift and their photos are a brilliant addition to our new Sports Leaders display in the hall.
A Star at Christmas.
As part of our Christmas celebrations, each school in our trust performed a Christmas song and we have collated these performances in a video. We have called it ‘A STAR at Christmas’ and you can view it here: https://youtu.be/q_ZV2O3srFM
Safeguarding.
If you are worried about a child during the holidays, we have plenty of advice in the safeguarding section of our website. This has guidance and ideas to support parents, including links to ideas that help keep children safe online. You may also have seen in the news concerning reports relating to sexual harassment experienced by children of all ages, including those in primary schools. In response to this, the Children’s Commissioner has launched a guide for parents and carers on online sexual harassment and how they can support children to stay safe online.
Goodbye & Welcome.
Today, we say goodbye to Mrs Gatenby and Miss Ay, who we wish good luck for the future. We are delighted to have appointed Miss Griffiths as Mid-Day Supervisor (see photo), who joined us this week. Sadly, we were unable to appoint a Teaching Assistant for Year 4 and this post has been re-advertised.
Remote Learning Survey
Thank you to everyone who responded to the survey about remote learning. This has been extremely useful in helping us to understand experiences from a home perspective, and identifying the successes and challenges for parents and children. Whilst it is clear that there is no single answer that suits everybody, should we find ourselves in the position of having to set work in this way in future we will certainly use the findings to make adjustments in our ways of working.
Shout out to a member of staff
This is to recognise staff who have done something great. We want to recognise the achievement of all our staff so please help up to pass on your nice comments and thanks.
