WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
This 1-day PE workshop will focus on several fun and fast-moving activities and movement experiences that are ideal for large group elementary or middle school classes. The session will include small group “breakout” station experiences to maximize equipment and address space constraints. The activities are energy-boosting and non-conventional, and students will absolutely love them. Visuals will be used to enhance learning and digital download links (of the resource materials) will be shared with the workshop participants. The workshop is standards-based and aligns with SHAPE America’s current grade-level outcomes. The session will include a mix of high energy music, fitness-based activities, manipulative skill movement, reciprocal teaching, peer assessment, and participant discussion.
