Dear Parents / Carers,
It seems I spoke too soon and as you are now aware we have had our first positive Covid case in school. We are not unusual in this and several of the local schools are also starting to see cases rise as it is in the community. Thankfully, our detailed risk assessments and contingency planning meant that we were able to isolate the case and contacts quickly and school has been able to continue safely for all other pupils and staff. On that note, the staff and children have been amazingly resilient and caring as we have had to make further changes again this week.
Aside from Covid, we have had a super week across school. Saturn class enjoyed a morning of golf skills and competition on Thursday and it seems we have some very talented golfers in the class - well done Year 4!
On Wednesday we were joined by the Methodist lay minister Pastor Eileen who beamed into the classrooms to lead worship. She told us the story of 'The Lost Coin' this week.
Finally, virtual parent consultations are now well underway in most classes so if you have not yet booked an appointment, please speak to the school office.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Karen Williams
