Speak
By: Laurie Halse Anderson
Are you afraid to make mistakes or speak up?
"Art is about making mistakes, and learning from them"
(Anderson 122).
Speak up for what you believe in, rather if that's against someone, or for something. Let your voice be heard.
Summary:
Speak is about a girl named, Melinda Sordino, who is hated by many people because she called the cops on a party, but no one really knows what happened. She was taken advantage of by a senior and he ruined her life. She was afraid to speak up and tell everyone what he did, and when she finally did, everyone listened. Speak is a good book about over coming fears and speaking up for what is right.
