Random Acts of Kindness Week
"Be the change that you wish to see in the world" -Gandhi
February 10-16, 2014
This week is Random Acts of Kindness Week! All over the world people are reaching out of their comfort zone and doing that extra act of kindness for someone. I challenge you and your friends to do a least one random act of kindness each day throughout the week. Some examples are:
- Help an elderly person cross the street
- Donate money, clothes, or your time to an organization that needs it
- Surprise your family by setting the table or doing an extra chore
- Sit by someone who is alone at lunch
- Hold the door open for someone
- Bring in your neighbor's empty garbage bins on trash day
- Thank your bus driver
- Baby-sit for free
- Thank your parents for all that they do for you
- Help a sibling with homework or read with them
- Reach out to a friend that you haven't talked to in a while
- Visit someone who is lonely
