THE SCOOP

Pre- K 2's Weekly Review

What We Have Learned

Last week completed our unit on Colors In My World. During Circle Time we learned about primary and secondary colors. In our Science center we mixed primary colored water to create many secondary colors. In our Sensory table we matched rubber ducks to matching colored magnets. In Math center, we sorted and counted all the colors in the bins. In our Blocks center, we built various structures and used the step stool and books to balance them. In our Dramatic play center we pretended to be artists. In House, we looked for rainbow colored foods. In our Art center we enjoyed making our Friendship Quilt.

Letter Ff and Numbers 1-20 Spotlight

We played "I Spy" in search of the letter Ff. We found the it in books, on labels, on signs, on clothing and in the cubbies. We also brainstormed 50 words with letter Ff!!

We practice counting number 1-20 on our calendar, in setting the table for meals and when calling roll when leaving or entering the building. We also enjoyed counting insects legs.
