Egypt's First Pyramid!

The Step Pyramid of Djoser was created by the Pharaoh Djoser to hold Djoser’s mummified body. In Saqqara, Egypt, the pyramid towers 204 feet tall (62 meters) and was claimed to be the “largest building of it’s time.” This building was tremendously important because it was the first pyramid built by the Egyptians. The pyramid was constructed using 11.6 million cubic feet (330,400 cubic meters) of stone and clay. It was enclosed by a 30 feet high wall and included many courtyards, temples, and chapels covering over 40 acres of land around it. Stone (which was carved into various designs) made the tomb durable.
