K-2 Team Newsletter

July 1st

It's almost time to come back to participate in Summer Professional Development that will engage and inspire you towards GREATness! Since our campus has made strides in transitioning to having a small schools model, we now have three grade level bands with three leadership teams (K-2, 3-5, and 6-8)! We are so excited to share the new K-8 vision and alignment while also building strength in our grade level bands this year. As you all know K-2 is the best band because we set the foundation! #summershade

During your time away from EEP, I hope you have had a chance to rejuvenate and reflect on the amazing work you do as educators. This will probably be one of the best summers I have had in several years because I am taking time to find balance as a school leader. Spending time with my family in Florida is something I'm looking forward to hence the beach background and the pre-date for July 1st on this newsletter. Prepping for our summer time together has me centered on the LIM habits of "Put First Things First" and "Sharpen the Saw" so I wanted to get this newsletter out before my family and I left. I will be back to my regular work schedule July 8th and cannot wait to see you all very soon!

Staffing Update

We are so excited to finalize our staffing for 19-20. Unfortunately, Martindale and Jones have decided to move onto other opportunities and we wish them much success! We are over the moon to welcome Liza Graham and Lisa Peters to our kinder team. Below you will find your updated class cohorts for next year and your teacher teams. Also, a huge congrats to our new grade level leads...Melanie Lipscomb and Olivia Pelletiere! Ticoria Wagner is also new and will be covering Nicole Bruner's maternity leave. Caroline Rhodes is still working on coverage for Anna Hasenmueller (and she had her beautiful baby boy Hendrix - see pic below) so we'll keep you all updated on the progress! I just want to say in closing that I cannot wait to rock this year out with this amazing team!

For our new to EEP teachers...we are a Leader in Me (LIM) school. You will receive training on what this means later but I referenced two of the habits in my opening and you were probably confused. Just to keep you in the know...you can play this short segment that explains the 7 Habits of LIM that we teach our scholars but with adult examples for you. Enjoy!
