TEACHER TIP OF THE WEEK!

Hi, everyone!

  • Please make sure that you have posted the Ohio Attendance widget on your course homepage if you teach Ohio students. Also remember to remind Ohio parents to submit their attendance logs each week (when you send your weekly or bi-weekly email).
  • Please make sure that you are continuing to submit students for truancy following the new process. If a student needs to be evaluated for truancy, please notify their advisor.
  • Learning Environment Tip: Did you know that you can email students without submissions in a dropbox? Within each dropbox folder is a button titled “Email Users Without Submissions.” This allows you to email students who have not submitted that assignment directly. This is a great way to remind students when they have missed a dropbox deadline!
  • Our next Enrichment Day is Wednesday, 11/20 in Paragon & Social Studies classes. Please post a news item in your classes on this day telling students to check their Paragon or Social Studies class for their activity for the day.

Data Discussion...

Teachers, be sure to check your Outlook mail to help select a time for your Data Discussion team meeting. Now that we are past Q1 and our first two benchmark assessments, we will be meeting twice a month in Data Discussion teams to become proficient in data-driven instructional practices. Data Discussion teams will consist of: K-2, 3-5, MS content areas, and HS content areas. Specials/electives/adjunct teachers may select whichever team with which they fit best, and are expected to participate as schedules allow. These meetings will be approximately 30-45 minutes twice a month. Looking forward to this important collaboration time with you all!
