Principal's Message

Greetings Elm Families,


We hope everyone had a wonderful week! Thank you to everyone who attended parent teacher conferences! It was so nice to connect with so many families to support our students!


We are only a few days away from the end of the Trimester. Take a few minutes to check in on your student and their progress. If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to your students teachers!


As a reminder we have no school tomorrow, Friday February 17th and Monday February 21st in observation of President's Day! Enjoy the long weekend!


Additionally it's time for our 5Essentials Survey. Take a few minutes and complete this survey, your feedback is greatly appreciated.

2021-2022 SCOTY Award Winners

Congratulations to our 2021-2022 School Citizen of the Year Award Winners! Ms. Madison Ranallo and Ms. Sarah Scheidt! We're so proud of you and all of your hardwork and accomplishments at Elm Middle School this year!

Art at Elm

"A Part & Together" Mural: Students created a tile to be a piece of the mural. Each component they added to their piecehad to have personal meaning & personal value. Even the items that were glued on were representational in some fashion. This mural is a symbol of how each unique individual makes up a piece of the whole and the mural is not complete without their piece!


Keith Haring-Style Hearts: Students created Valentines-Day inspired artwork in the style of artist, Keith Haring to bring some joy to the hallways at Elm!

Career Study Experiences

As we continue to expand on our College and Career Pathways Program at Elm, we've been so fortunate this year to create hands on learning opportunities. These experiences have included having a sports psychologist come talk to our courses. Having an art therapist come in and present to our students, and our students are hard at work creating the Elm Middle School Snack Shack!


As we continue to work to create these experiences, our team is planning events with The Chopping Block, a published author, MakerGirl, and local businesses. We're so proud of all of the hard work our staff and students have put into this program, and can't wait to see more!

Elm Choir and Band Concerts

Next Wednesday, February 23rd the Elm Choir will be preforming at EPHS for a joint concert with the high school choir at 7pm. The Band will have a concert with the high school band on Thursday, Feb 24th at 7pm. Please come out to EPHS to support our fine arts students!

Elm Middle School Book Fair

Save the Date! The Elm Middle School PAT is hosting a Book Fair! The Fair will be from Febraury 28th-March 3rd!

If a student is going to be absent from class, a parent or guardian should call our Attendance Clerk at (708) 583-6600 or email elmattendance@epcusd401.org.


When calling, please spell your child’s last name and give their student ID number.
