STEAM-U Learning Opportunity
The STEAM T: Emphasizing Technology in the Inquiry Classroom
Presented by the John Thomas School of Discovery (JTSD) December 4, 2017
When embeded in instruction and assessment, technology can be a powerful tool for actively engaging students in inquiry-based learning, especially in today's 1:1 environments. Learn best practices for helping students navigate the wealth of resources at their fingertips, take ownership in a variety of online learning situtations, sharpen their information literacy skills, and apply research skills across the curriculum.
We will explore the effective use of SMART Boards, video and still media production, document cameras, computer labs, and Chromebooks. Participants will take home sample plans for integrating instructional technology into science, social studies, ELA, and more; plus, referenece lists of our favorite (and vetted) sources.
Important Reminder:
Cost for each event:
$30 for member districts
$50 for non-member districts
