PRINCIPAL NEWS
Greetings EES Families and Friends,
We have had a terrific start to the school year and I have been beyond excited to have students and teachers back in our hallways and classrooms. While this is a start of the year unlike any other, our EES Family has taken it in stride and made our opening a positive experience for all learners. I want to thank all of you for your continued support, patience, and cooperation as our procedures keep evolving. It is a pleasure to work with your children and serve this community. Please do not hesitate to reach out at any time if you have questions or concerns. You can email me at agray@ewsd.org or call me at (802) 857-2102.
A few quick reminders:
If you need to pick up your child early for appointments please make sure you arrange to do this before 2:15PM so that it does not interfere with our bus traffic and dismissal.
Check out the form for the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) for EES.
If you need to register your child for bus transportation, please be sure to do so through our transportation department. You can contact the EWSD Transportation Department directly at 802-857-7077 or transportation@ewsd.org. Once you receive confirmation from this department, please make sure you inform the school of your child’s new dismissal plan.
I hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend with your families.
My Best,
Ashley Gray
Principal

LATE ARRIVAL / EARLY DISMISSAL
If your student will be arriving after 8:00 a.m. please pull up to the front of the school and call the main office at 878-2584. A staff member will walk out to receive your child, take their temperature and escort them to their classroom.
Please communicate in advance if you need to pick your child up early and call the school when you arrive. We will escort your child outside to you. We are unable to accommodate early pick up times after 2:15 p.m. due to the dismissal process.
SCHOOL COUNSELORS
Hello Families!
Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! We are happy to be back in the building working with students! School counselors at EES help to support your students socially, emotionally, and academically. We work closely with teachers, staff, and families to ensure that students feel happy, safe, and successful at school!
This year we welcome Jen Tumilowicz to our team. Jen will be working with students in the following classes: Rowley, Thayer, Rinehart, Ayers, Badore, Little, Pariseau, Acanfora, Allardyce, Epstein, and Meehan, on Thursdays and Fridays. Brea Heaslip will return from maternity leave on September 28. She will support the above classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Sarah Buhl will be working with students in the following classes: Clark, Day, Heppner, Synnott, Cook, Mead, Rotach, Seligman, Robbins, Tracy, and Yandell, Monday through Friday.
Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns!

Health Office
I am in the building Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM – 3 PM.
If you have a student who is at EES on Wednesdays, you do not need to send in their EPI PENs or Inhalers if I already have them in my office.
Thank you for keeping your children home when they are showing any of the Covid-19 symptoms. When you call or log your child’s absence in Power school, please note what symptoms they are having. I am tracking them so I know what is going around the school.
Feel free to call or email me with any questions or concerns.
Take care,
Kimberly Bullock, BSN, RN

ART
Hello EES families from the Art Cart!

See you there!
Learning Center
Welcome Back to another year of great reading from the Learning Center, our school library! We look forward to sharing our love of reading with your children this year, even if library time is happening differently at this point. All the children have shown their eagerness to borrow books, even from the limited selection on the cart that I have been bringing with me when I visit the classrooms. It is so good to be back with our students!
We closed school down so abruptly last year, many families weren't able to return their library books.
Email reminders about books that are still on your children's accounts will be sent out soon, with the hope that it will help families recall where those books are in your home. We appreciate every effort to locate and return our school library books. We even have a convenient book return box located in the front of the school to the right of the entrance.
