Theme for the Year - Beauty
From the Principal
Congratulations, Knights! We raised $20,860 for the school during this year's North Texas Giving Day, with an increased number of people giving. God bless you for your generosity.
Book Fair is under way! Thank you to all the countless volunteers who have helped with the fair. It takes a lot of patience to watch those little ones count out their exact change, but the smiles on their faces walking away with a treasured book in their arms must make your day!
This past Sunday was Catechist Sunday, where the Church commissions all those who devote their lives to teaching the faith. Our faculty also participated in a commissioning ceremony during our in-service this past August.
I wanted to bring that same acknowledgment to our students, parents, and guardians, also living their lives as teachers of the faith. To do this, some time was devoted during our Monday Morning Prayer Service, to share two different prayers, one over the students and one over the family members that were present.
Each prayer stressed our call to live as missionary disciples for one another. So, just know that even if you were not able to be at the prayer service, we prayed for you in your sacred role as parents and guardians.
In Christ's Service,
Diane Price
Quotes to Ponder
Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.
- St. Teresa of Calcutta (Mother Teresa)
All that is good, all that is true, all that is beautiful, brings us to God.
- Pope Francis
At St. Joseph Catholic School, we are striving to become missionary disciples by bringing others to Christ, through the recognition of what is beautiful around us each and every day, and reflecting that beauty in our actions.
