This Week at a Glance
Clubs & Activities
Join us for the Ugly Sweater Club. Participants will design and construct an "Ugly Holiday Sweater" that can light up. Using conductive thread that will enable the lights, students will sew a complete circuit! Students must bring a sweatshirt to the first meeting. The club costs $35 for materials.
Please register for the club here: https://www.familyid.com/king-philip-middle-school/ugly-sweater-club
Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA) Club Meeting
The GSA will have its first meeting this week on Thursday, December 1, after school from 2:25 - 3:00 PM in the Library Conference Room. If you have any questions about the club, please contact club advisor, our School Resource Officer, Officer Katie Appel at appelk@kingphilip.org.
Last week, students in Ms. Orlando's STEM II classes released hot air balloons that they constructed. Please see some of the pictures below!
Announcements & Reminders
KPMS Yearbooks
Yearbook season has begun! We have a great group of eager 7th and 8th-grade staff members that are busy gathering photos and generating ideas for yearbook content. If you and your student(s) are interested in purchasing a yearbook, go to jostens.com and enter 'King Philip Middle School' in the 'Find my School' field. Students and parents that order their yearbook before Dec. 1st will save $10 off the $50 retail price. If you have any questions about the yearbook or how to purchase one, don't hesitate to contact Mr. Cannon, the yearbook advisor, at cannonr@kingphilip.com.
If you have been receiving promotional emails from Jostens and would no longer like to receive these emails, you are encouraged to use the 'unsubscribe' button at the bottom of the email.
If you have any questions about yearbooks, please contact the Yearbook Advisor, Mr. Cannon, at cannonr@kingphilip.org.
Interested in Helping the PTSO?
The PTSO could always use more help and volunteers throughout the year. Please send us an email if you are interested in being involved! We could not continue to support the school without your help...thank you! Your time and monetary donations have been instrumental the past year.
