Literacy
This week we worked on the letters Ee and Ff. We sang our ABC chant, played Hickety Tickety to identify letters in our name, and practiced handwriting both uppercase and lowercase of each of the letters. Have your child practice writing Ee and Ff at home with markers, crayons, or a pencil!
*Email me if you would like extra handwriting sheets to be sent home.
Math
This week we learned about patterns. We practiced identifying, labeling, and extending simple patterns (AB, ABC, AAB, ABB). Have your child make a simple pattern at home!
Apples
Pencil Grip
Lunch Pins and Snack Time
The faster students can get through the lunch line by knowing their lunch pins, the longer they have to eat lunch! PLEASE help your child learn his/her lunch number!
Snack Time:
Our class has community snack each day. Please contribute one store bought (peanut free) snack each month for your child to share with the class (24). Please do not send in individual snacks for your child to eat. The apples and cheese were a hit this month!
*Thanks again sending snacks each month.
Bathroom Breaks
We've had a lot of friends needing to go to the bathroom right after lunch. Please help remind your child they should try going to the bathroom after coming in from Recess before going into the Cafeteria. Thank you for support!

Playground
Crestview Families
Unfortunately our Playground has sustained significant vandalism over the past several weeks. We are aware of the damage and realize that many pieces of equipment are unusable. We are working to keep caution tape on the damaged equipment to avoid injuries from the destruction, however, the tape is being removed each evening. Replacement parts have been ordered and we are hoping installation can take place as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience.
Birthdays
At Crestview Elementary School we take time during morning announcements to highlight students who are celebrating their birthdays. This includes announcing their names and grade levels over the school wide intercom system. If for any reason you do not want your child’s name and birthday announced, please reach out to Janet Ellis, Office Coordinator, in our front office and she will make note of the request.
A reminder that due to life threatening allergies students should not be bringing birthday treats to school this year.
