The Diviners: Setting
Here's our setting written by Alyssa McCann
When does it take place?
This book takes place throughout New York in the 1920’s. A place that the characters frequent is The Museum of American Folklore, Superstition, and the Occult, also known as “The Museum of the Creepy Crawlies.” It is a musty, ancient building built in the 1800’s by Cornelius Rathbone filled with different artifacts that all suggest existence of the supernatural. “The entry was was ornate: black-and-white marble floors,wood-paneled walls dimly lit by gilded sconces.High above, the pale blue ceiling boasted a mural of angels watching over a field of Revolutionary soldiers. The building smelled of dust and age.” Bray 37
