Hanan Attiyah, the Technology Integration Specialist at Francis A. Desmares School, won a $60,000 computer and coding lab for Desmares School. She was a regional winner of the Central Intelligence Agency Mission Possible Operation Advance Technology Competition. The competition was open to kindergarten through Grade 8 STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) educators across the country. Five regional winners were selected. CIA Mission Possible Operation Advance Technology is part of the CIA's ongoing efforts to strengthen STEAM education. The Operation Advance Technology program is sponsored by the CIA and managed by the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education. Congratulations to Mrs. Attiyah and the Desmares Dolphins!

Dr. McGann will hold the next Superintendent Talk-a-Latte Roundtable Session on May 10. The main topic is Mental Health. Guest speakers from Effective School Solutions will share important information with parents. The session will be held at 6 PM at Copper Hill School. Register online.
