Snow Does Not Stop Viking Pride

The snow may have interupted plans for many and has been a mojor inconvenience, but it did not stop many in our Howell family from showing their #vikingpride! Girls Wrestling Finishes Second At GAC Tournament

On Wednesday our Girls Wrestling program traveled to FZN for the first ever Girls GAC Wrestling Tournament. Our Lady Vikings had another strong performance and finished 2nd while having eight medal in the tournament. Congratulations to Alyssa Miller and Kymbrietta for becoming the first GAC Tournament champions in program history. Below you can see a list of our medalists from the GAC Tournament. Wrestling Moves To 11-1 In Duals With Win Over FHC On Senior Night

The Boys Wrestling program continues to have a successful dual season. The Vikings improved to 11-1 on the season with a 48-32 win over FHC on Wednesday night. The dual was the last home dual of the season for the Vikings and also served as the programs "Senior Night" to recognize the seniors in the program. Thank you to all of our wrestling seniors for representing the wrestling program and Howell in such a positive way.

Wrestling Lands 5 On State Ranked List

The Boys and Girls Wrestling programs are having successful seasons both on and off the mat this season. Currently the two programs have five wrestlers that are ranked in the top five at the State level. JV Golden Girls Compete At Chicagoland

Congratulations to the JV Golden Girls on their performances at Chicagoland. Against some of the top dance programs in the Midwest our JV GG's finished 5th in their jazz routine and 3rd in their hip-hop routine. Next up for our GG's is the St.Charles Competition. Good luck to our JV GG's as the complete their last half of the competition season!

Upcoming Spring Impact Testing Dates Released

This past week Impact Testing dates were released for the upcoming spring season. Impact testing is required for baseball, girls lax, girls soccer, boys volleyball, & track (jumpers & pole vault). Freshman and Juniors in those sports need to complete testing prior to the first day of spring sports if they have not completed it previously this year. Students new to Howell must also complete the testing.


Impact Testing for will take place on the following dates. Students must arrive on time so that all participants can begin testing at once. All testing dates and times below take place in Learning Commons.

Student-Participants Have Strong Attendance Rate During First Semester

During the first semester Howell had 1,234 students that were involved in an activity, club or sport. These young men and women not only did great things in those activities and sports but also in the classroom. During the first semester our 1,234 student participants maintained an attendance rate of 96.4%. This is roughly 3% higher than those not involved in an activity or sport at Howell. That 3% equates to our each of our student-participants attending three more days of school during the first semester. Thank you to our student-participants, coaches, sponsors, and parents for holding such high expectations for our students both in and out of our activities and sports. Congratulations to the programs below for achieving an over 98% attendance rate during the first semester!

Mandatory Spring Sports Eligibility Parent Meeting Set For February 13th

The spring season sports eligibility parent meeting has been set for February 13th. All students planning on participating in a spring sport must attend this meeting with a parent. Eligibility paperwork turn in will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the high school commons with the meeting portion of the evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. All eligibility paperwork must be complete to be turned in. All students participating in a fall MSHSAA sponsored activity must have this completed prior to the first day on February 25th. It is recommended that all paperwork be turned in at the sports eligibility event on February 13th. To ensure participation on February 25th all fully complete paperwork must be turned in no later than Thursday, February 21st at noon. A link to all eligibility paperwork can be found below.
