Regina Jr Sr High Newsletter

February 2018

From the Principal

Hello Regina Community,

Catholic Schools Week is off and running. We had Mass this morning with Regina alum, Father Michael Rossmann. It was great to see Father Rossmann. His energy and passion for his faith is contagious. We have Father Jeff Belger joining us tomorrow for 2 talks on vocations. Friday is activity day with the 34th Army Band, Talent Show, and Mini Courses. Thank you for making the sacrifices needed to provide your student(s) with a Catholic education.

In a couple of weeks we will start our Lenten journey. Our annual Ash Wednesday prayer service and mural painting will be at 2:10 on February 14. All are welcome to join us for the prayer service. Our Lenten journey concludes (at school) on Good Friday with our senior-led Stations of the Cross prayer service. It will be held at 11:00 as we have a noon dismissal that day.

I pray that everyone is able to use this Lenten season to prepare themselves for the Resurrection of Christ. I offer this prayer for you as you start the season of Lent.

Almighty and Everlasting God,
You have given the human race
Jesus Christ our Savior as a model of humility.
He fulfilled Your Will by becoming Man
And giving His life on the Cross.
Help us to bear witness to You
By following His example of suffering
And make us worthy to share in His Resurrection.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son. Amen

Peace to all,

Glenn Plummer
